That Dewy MakeUp Look (:?

I heard the dewy look really makes your skin look nice and pretty!

My regular makeup routine is i mosturize with aveeno, put a smashbox primer, mac concealer on some areas, and clinque superfit foundation with a makeup sponge.

For a sponge i heard the Beauty Blender was good! Does the sponge for apply foundation matter? Or what should i use applying to give a dewy look?

I heard of these products really giving a dewy look – Clinque dewy smooth foundation (i like to use oil free so my face doesnt break out), Mac Strobe Cream, I’d still use my smashbox primer and mac concealer, and benefit moon beam!

Would those give me a dewy finish? Has anyone ever tried those products? Please Help (:

Oh & whats the difference between Benefit Moon Beam & Stila All Over Shimmer Liquid Luminizer? Which ones better?

Instead of ordering the Beauty Blender, or going to the Sephora store, and picking it up which might be far, go to your local Target, and buy the Sonia Kashuk Blending Sponge. Only cost $10 I have them both, and it make absolutely no difference which one I am using except the shape. I prefer SK Shape because it’s easy the grip, and BB because You can use the sides you blend a little better. With SK can buy two for the same amount as one BB. To wash it I use the BB shampoo, but before I got the I used sensitive Baby Shampoo. [:

As for the Dewy effect, I only recommend trying this if you have dry skin, otherwise most people with Oily skin like the Matte finish. Don’t change you liquid foundation, well you don’t need to, just get the Fix + from MAC. I have it, and I always wondered what the heck is this going to do, because one I heard so many reviews, but they never actually said much except it’s great. Then I went to a MAC counter, and asked the Ms. there, and she didn’t have a clue. She told be how people use it after getting out of the shower, or after applying makeup, but not actually what it was going to do. Well thank god I brought, and I love it! I also use the MAC Studiio Scuplt, and MAC Satin Finish (you could try th PhotoReady Liquid foundation which I heard is great too, and cheap, I am getting one today) foudations, and to set it I spray the Fix + twice, let it dryy, and I have a perfect Dewy look. When I am using the Satin Finish, which already gives me the Dewy look I only have to spray it once. Twice for Studio Sculpt because it gives me a more natural look.

As for foundation if you completely set on getting a new one then my favorite are Makeup Forever Liquid Foundation (not the matte one, I just can’t think of the exact name ). If you don’t have a Sephora by yoou, and want one pretty great also just go to a MAC counter, and get Satin Finish. It’s great also for the Dewy look, but it DOES have extremely tiny shimmers in it. It’s not noticable to anyone else, but if I see little shimmers on my face I immediately get self-concious, yet if I ask anyone around me if my face looks sparkle, or if it has shimmer they ALL always say Nope, [:. If I am doing someones makeup with the Satin Finish, and they say why is my face so shimmier? It’s really suprising because I had no idea, and couldn’t tell. As long as you understand that “Hey yeah it might look shimmier to me, but to everyone else it just looks like a nice iredecent glow, or the Dewy finish” you’ll be fine.

As for the Benefit Moon Beam, I am not a huge fan of Benefit. Mainly becuase they have a poor color selection, so it makes me wary if I am going to try anything from there, because I know my color won’t be a match, or any one who I work on. Stila well I really like Stila, but I haven’t tried it out, so I couldn’t tell you.

Lastly, moistrizer if you want to try out a new one try th new Olay Foaming Moistrizer which claims to give a Dewy look. I am almost done with my Clinique moistrizer, so I only use it at night. I have notice a difference. Not having to spray any Fix + well not as much, I am addicted to it. I only use it as night though because I feel like it isn’t energizing enough for the morning, but great for soothing at night. [:
