What are some very beautiful spots in Los Angeles?
Alright so I live in West LA (in the Beverly Hills/Santa Monica area) and I am absolutely SICK of the city. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to make a very big trip anywhere out of town, not even to Northern California (trust me, I would jump at the chance to go there, especially Fresno).
So pretty much I’m looking for anywhere with very green, natural beauty. I have overexploited the beaches, so please no beach suggestions. Just anywhere with green parks or anything remotely foresty, but not too far out of town. This is only a one day thing.
Oh what I would do to go to Ireland, New Zealand, or England and spend a day in those grassy meadows and those thick forests (sorta like where they filmed the Lord of the Rings 
)
