Beauty Rest Mattress Pad

OMG, PLEASE HELP! How do I get pee out of a BRAND NEW mattress? AND IT’S NOT JUST A LITTLE BIT, EITHER!!!!!

My son peed through our mattress pad and well into our BRAND NEW Simmons Beauty Rest mattress. It is a VERY LARGE and saturated area. The very first thing I did was remove the bedding, and I thoroughly COVERED the area with Borax and rubbed it it. Once some of the urine began to get absorbed I added more borax for more absorbtion power. I only heard that this would work, and I know that Borax is great for removing odors and what not. I don’t want to spray anything on the mattress because it will break it down. It will only cause more damage to the inner materials. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT ELSE I CAN DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just for the record … MY SON DOES SLEEP IN HIS OWN BED!! He was sick and fell asleep on my bed. Rather than disturb him, I opted to leave him be and to just let him sleep where he was; he needed the sleep. This was NOT during the night. He is ill and I guess he just slept through it.

Clean the area with a damp cloth soaked in an antiseptic first. Not wet or the mattress will get saturated.Cover the wet patch up with borax and let it stay for a while before your vacuum it up.
