I need help to find a career for single mother?

I’m 22 years old with a 4 year old boy. Who’s going to school in a year. I lost my job and i need a career. I need to go to a college, something that I can afford and a quick education but 4 a good long lasting career. That can pay well to help support a family.

You could always looking into being a nanny. You may not want to work with kids for the rest of your life, but it could work for now. I am a nanny, and depending on the location, the pay should be good. You could always try to look at universities. They sometimes have off-campus apartments for use for couples, and students with children. If you didn’t make a lot, then you might get financial aid for housing and other expenses – by filling out the fafsa.

You could look into being a CNA (nursing assistant) which takes a quarter to complete I think. After that you could always look into a 2 year college that has RN AA degrees. You could complete that in 2 years. RN’s make pretty good money, and they are always in need. You could always go back to college later to get your bachelor’s which would be another 2 years.

You could also go in for culinary. You could be a baker or a cook.

Edit** Not to sound negative or anything, but I don’t think massage therapist or salon people really make too much. You might make enough to pay the bills, but that’s probably it. I would go to school for something that would be worth it, that would pay enough to spoil your little boy. It might not be fun being in school for too long, or it might take up your time, but you will eventually finish and be happy that the next 20-30 years of your life you will be making a lot more money than someone with a certificate. Well, whatever you choose, make sure that it can at least pay all of your bills, and something you would enjoy.
