What’s the reason why bottles juices aren’t allowed on the Paleolithic Diet?

This morning I made a smoothie with ice, raspberries, blueberries, and a cup of Ocean Spray’s sugar-free Cranberry and Blueberry juice. The bottle says that it is 100% juice, has no added sugars, artificial colors, preservatives or flavors.

What’s the reason why bottles juices aren’t allowed on the Paleolithic Diet?

What’s the difference between hand-squeezed juice and bottled juice that claims to be 100% juice?

Do you think that having a cup of this juice in the mornings would really slow down my weight loss?

I have no idea what the Paleolithic Diet is, but most juices are very high in sugar, not just added, but natural sugar. The difference between hand squeezed and bottled is the amount of nutrients and fiber that you get, and hand squeezed is processed less. Instead of using ice in your smoothie, try yogurt, more nutrients and pro-biotic.

PS. The best way to lose weight is to slowly change your eating habits for the better, and adding some exercise…anything that has you radically changing the way you eat for a short period of time will be unsustainable.
