Friendly budget meal ideas that are healthy and tasty?
My husband and I are Italian and they love to eat .. Pasta is one of our favorites .. But He also loves meat, I could go on without her. I just had a baby 4 months and have a little weight I have to lose yet, and is slightly weight and out of shape itself. The two decided to start being more healthy .. It is a diet now. But I can not because I am breastfeeding. For what we need, but tasty food healthy, we'll like Italians. Just the two of us spend more than $ 150 a week on groceries. Which leaves us with no "play" money. I hate to see what happens when my daughter starts to eat. Buy kitchen Leane, this is probably our problem. We make meal planning .. Still do not understand how to spend that much.
I know this does not answer the question you asked, but …. You should try to give meal planning a try. What I do is planned around 2 weeks of meals at a time so that way I only buy what is needed for that grocery trip (usually runs about 2 times a month … every payday). The reason I bring this to is mentioned to spend about $ 150 per week on food. Step about less than 1 / 2 for a family of 4 years and live in the most expensive (cost of living) of U.S. food prices … is tends to be high. This way you always have on hand what's for dinner and always know what you are going to have that night (a great advantage for me!) I plan to go tends to cost less because you only buy things that will be used. If it seems a bit overwhelming and plan a few meals at a time .. and then work your way up. Hmm .. Good luck Whatever you do, try meal planning … well … I have tried to avoid certain foods convience … for example I make pancakes instead of using the mix … or make my own pudding to give my children instead of buying the box or the little cups … I make my own granola bars, do not buy bagged salad, etc. .. I know those are a few random examples, but you get the idea. I know this may be a little more consumption of time but are healthier and cheaper to do … (I also stopped working when my children were born so that over time helps in making meals:) If you want a few online resources feel free to send a message.
