
Diet, healthy food ideas?
i want to only take in about 1000 calories a day and i need to know some good healthy recipes or some really good websites, and also would like to know what foods that “seem” healthy but i should really avoid, please thanks!
*when eating carbs, only eat wholegrain carns such as brown rice, brown/wholegrain bread, wholegrain pasta.
*eat plenty of grilled chicken breast, turkey or fish.
*stay away from red meats.
*stay away from most cheese, only eat low fat cheese.
*cook all foods in 1 cal spray.
*drink 6-8 glasses of water a day.
example of 1000 calorie day:
breakfast-
30g of special k with 100ml of skimmed or semi skimmed milk.
80g of strawberries
mid morning snack-
1 jumbo snack a jack
lunch-
wholegrain tortilla wrap, filled with:
100g chicken breast (grilled)
1 red pepper, 80g mushrooms (fried in 1 cal spray)
side salad of 100g of lettuce, 7 cherry tomatoes and half a cucmber chopped
mid afternoon snack-
1 activia yoghurt (or other fat free yoghurt)
80g blueberries
dinner-
3 quaters of a cup of wholegrain pasta
half a cup of canned tomatoes
day 2:
breakfast-
porridge
80g rasberries
mid morning snack-
apple
alpen bar
lunch-
sandwich,made with:
2 slices of wholegrain/ brown bread
1 slice of turkey breast.
80g of carrots sticks
5 celery stick
mid afternoon snack-
1 fun size milky way bar
dinner-
100g of white fish
80g of broccoli or asparagus
80g of red cabbage
80g green beans
140g of brown rice
