Are window sock puppet shows really illegal in New York City?
I recently saw a Diet Mountain Dew commercial, which showed the guy doing his sock puppet show in his apartment window before being subdued by the SWAT team. It showed the following fact: “It is illegal to do window sock puppet shows in New York City.”
Is the above fact actually a law in NYC? If so, why is there a law like that and what is the penalty for breaking that crime? I find the law against window sock puppet shows absurd as a long-ago law against sneezing in a train in West Virginia!
Most cities and states have a list of laws written 100+ years ago that will make you laugh out loud.
