As your puggle puppy grows, so due to their knowledge of preventive health measures. When it comes down to it, dogs are not really that difficult care. That does not mean you should relax and keep track of your needs though. Your puggle will provide joy in the coming years, provided and when you keep your part of the bargain and keep your puppy healthy and fit. Remember that your puppy is like a human baby, unable to care for their needs alone themselves.

Take your puggle for a walk once a day if possible. I remember the audience of Dog Whisperer (Cesar Milan) say that you should walk your dog for 45 minutes each and every day. Now I know that is not always feasible, nor does it have to be. Puggles are small breed dogs and as such do not require quite as much exercise as large breed dogs, especially if your puggle looks like a pug than a beagle. I live in North Carolina (hot summers) and our vet recommended that we not try to over do it with our puggles because their snouts compact. He said it can heat and may have trouble breathing if overworked.

Do not overfeed his puggle. People are usually so lazy that even control the food intake of your dog. Overfeeding your puggle can lead to health problems, including heart disease. Most puggles adult should not need more than a cup of dog food per day. Of course, this depends on the size your dog and the type of food you buy, but usually it's pretty safe to follow the feeding recommendations on the back of the bag of food. If your puppy begins to be too thin or chubby, increase or decrease their daily food allowance accordingly. And get your puggle some quality dog food. Not only will improve your skin and hair, but do not want to eat the food budget of shit, right?

Take your puggle to the vet for regular checkups. This is probably the most important preventive health measure. Make sure your puppy all the required vaccinations and worming. You also want to give your puggle some kind of treatment heartworm and fleas, especially if you play outside a lot. If you feel comfortable doing so, your vet will also clean your dog's ears and trim nails. This will eliminate odors and keep some of the items around your house for damage.

Last but not least, keep the area of your life puggle is clean. If your dog has an accident, clean it. Do not let your puggle nice little roll around in their own waste. You will be doing a favor everyone.
