Do you think it is ok to change the race of fictional characters?

I have a daughter that is biracial. Who watches Disney movies alot? I am struggling finding cartoon and Disney characters that are black.

Most of them are white and I feel that it is important for her to see images that look like her.

So do you think that it will alright to change the race of fictional characters like:

1. Santa Claus
2. Alice in Wonderland
3. Ariel
4. Barbie
5. Belle
6. Cinderella
7. Snow White
8. Minnie Mouse
9. Miss Piggy
10. Goldilocks
11. Rapunzel
12. The X Men characters
13. Comic book characters like Betty and Veronica
14. Thumbelina
15. Sleeping beauty
16. The Swan Princess

as well as superheros like Wonder Woman and Catwoman etc.
What about James Bond?
There are Black British people

You raise a really good point. Where are the African American characters, except maybe Little Einstein’s and the guy in the incredibles, I don’t know. Pocahontas, Jasmine, and Dora the Explorer are the only diverse ones. I think it would be fine to change them, I just question how to do that. She’s probably not in elementary school yet, but I do know all the reading books now are more diverse. You might read her Mufaro’s(?) Beautiful Daughters, which is an African version of Cinderella.
