Becoming a vegetarian will help tremendously with weight loss?

I'm trying to lose weight, about 30 pounds. I was thinking of becoming vegetarian for a while. While I'm trying to maintain a healthy diet and exercise, this helps? ALSO … I worry that when I lose the weight, I'll recover. muscle building help me not gain this weight back? Any other suggestion on weight loss? Please do not advertise websites stupid!
