inches away diet center
Can someone with fitness experience help me?

I’ll face it- I am an obese American male. I am 18 years old, with a weight of 219 lbs, and standing at 5 ft. 8 inches. I was wondering what is a good daily workout plan, detailed please, and a good daily diet. I cannot do the running machine for long periods of time, do to weak knees, and my goal is to get to 210 lbs by the end of August(or a better goal, if suggested). Please include details, most people I ask simply say eat less and excercise, but I have no idea how to. Also, there is a fitness center less than a block away, but no personal fitness instructors. Thanks a lot!

A good fitness plan would be a combination of three things: diet, cardio, and weights.

With diet, you don’t have to starve yourself, you just keep in mind that the most important meal is breakfast. So you can eat as much as you want, whatever you want during breakfast, and then eat less of lunch and dinner. But what works well for me is eating a satisfying dinner BEFORE 6 p.m. and then I don’t eat anything anymore until the next day for breakfast. Drink plenty of water of course, because water helps you flush out fat from the body.

Cardio workouts let you lose fat from your body. It exercises your heart, blood circulation and develops your resistance. For cardio, you can jog, brisk walk, bike, or do aerobic exercises–anything that keeps you moving and sweating for a period of time. Also, do situps. I know they’re hard at first, but once you get used to it, the rewards are just tremendous. Again, drink plenty of water to rehydrate yourself and, yes, lose more fat.

It’s good that there’s a fitness center near your place. That’d take care of your weight training concern, which helps you tone your muscles and develop your strength. Enroll in that gym. No instructors? Go to hyperstrike.com for pointers. Or ask your fellow gym goers how to go about an exercise.

These three make a fine combination for you to become fit. But you can skip weight training in favor of the first two. I lost over 10 lbs in just a month doing just dieting and cardio. Good luck.
