what can i do or feed my dog with liver problem?

i wen to the vet i got medicine and a diet dog food called kd hill,s prescription diet food i love my dog but please help me what i can boil what natural foods?what can i do? this is my first dog im 18 years old i had my dog for 11 years i think or 10 im the only one that seems to care in my home please help?? should she be outside in the sun?? inside?? she always sleeps inside please help thanks
