training to become a registered dietician?

How many years of college does it take? can you take to courses online? Is 55 too old to start?

I have been researching the same thing for the last couple of weeks. I have also talked to some dieticians and I was told you can start out online classes but that you will have to intern and like the earlier reply said, you need to make sure you can carry your credits or have to repeat. I also got info on getting an Associates in Nutrition/dietician. It is a two year course. You can start there and work to a registered dietician. Of course, all of this is if you don’t have any previous training or college creds. Also check ou the American Dietetic Assn.’ website for additional info on what’s required to be a certified Registered Dietician. Oh, and I am 50 so I say you’re never too old!
