PARENTS…fairy tales you own for your children????
What kind of fairy tales do you purchase for your children? Do you own one or more of the following: Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood, Bluebeard, Puss in Boots, Cinderella, etc.? I am doing a year long research project for the original author of these fairy tales, Charles Perrault. I also wanted to know why you and/or your children enjoy these stories. Thankyou!
I am a fairy tale buff. I find them fascinating. However I am actually torn. We do the Disney version of all of them with my three year old and I have read her selected versions of some of the original tales. But for the most part we are waiting until she is older.
If this is an interest area for you, read “The Witch must Die”. I have read extensively on the subject and I find that to be one of the best books. I have read my daughter Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood and a version of Cinderella. I think I will take a pass on “Donkey Skin”( it is really sick)
