How to maintain weight after weight loss?

So I’m always losing weight and when i like the weight im at. i somehow gain it back. I admit sometimes i eat when im depressed and i go to mcdonalds, taco bell and just pig out or i just eat a lot of wendys but that was then. ive stopped that now. i eat very healthy and im a vegetarian.
i have been dieting on a very low calorie diet only 600-800 calories a day and ive already lost like 5 1/2 pounds in 5 days. and i like that. but anytime i seem to lose weight it always comes back. how can i maintain my weight without losing or gaining a pound!
i think i gain weight so quick because im short [ 5"4 ]and i have a slow metabolism

the reason you gain the weight back is because you are not eating enough. when you eat less then 1200 calories a day your body thinks you are starving ie it goes into starvation mode so that when you eat your body stores the food as fat to keep you alive longer. eat at least 1200 calories a day with lots of water, veggies, fruits, and lean protein to keep you full. plus building muscle will not only make you look good but will also allow you to eat more because its burning your fat for energy.
