Would like to go back to college? Just need some guidance?
I really want to be a registered dietician one day. I study books with topics on food and nutrition. I even ordered the American Dietetic Association book and read it for fun!
Anyway, I was a cashier, hated it, warked thru community college, and got my associate’s in arts (transfer degree.) I’m accepted at a University (that’s many many miles away.) Now I have a better job as a clerical assistant. It’s better pay with benefits, but I’m just another pee-on and honestly, I could learn to live with it but my life’s calling is to get my bachelor’s degree and get a career I truly want. Problem is, colleges with that degree are many many many miles away. I do not want to move, all my family and friends are here. My life is here.
Maybe online college? Plus, I don’t know how I could afford college. I’m 24, not married, no kids, engaged.
Please help? I’m so sad, but full of hope.
Thanks!
Don’t waste your time with online colleges… it’s really expensive and nothing beats the learning and experience only a classroom setting can bring. There are Pell grants (you don’t have to pay back) that you might qualify for and subsidized and unsubsidized student loans with low interest rates and interest is paid by the government while your in school. You don’t start repayment until 6 months after you leave school. Do what your heart tells you.. Get your B.A.
