Walgreens Senior Beauty Advisor?

I have been workin at walgreens for about a year and a half and i used to be a beauty advisor and now I am a photo specialist i just now got asked to be the senior beauty advisor and I said that I would take the job but they are just going to pay me 25cents more. should I tell my manager that thats not a good increase to have more responsibilty? What should I do? I make $8 and hour and they are gonna pay me $8.25
$8 an hour is very good around here (i live in northern alabama) b/c everthing is cheap except gas!!

The real money in most jobs, including Walgreens, is in management. To get into management, you basically need a college degree or experience as a dept. head. Becoming the SBA would give you the experience as a dept. head and if you do well, it could lead into a management position- where the real money is.

The SBA position does not come with that much more responsibility. If you might want to eventually get into mgmnt., I would take the position and do well at it. If you are just kind of goofing around with your life and have other plans, it may not be worth an extra quarter.
