Can I eat whenever I’m hungry or do I have to stick to 3 meals 2 snacks?

I’ve started South Beach Diet and I’m hungry! I’m wondering if I can eat more than 2 snacks..I’m more a snacker than a sit down and eat a big meal person. Are you supposed to limit food intake or can you eat as much as you want as long as it’s on the good food list?

if you already know you are more of a snacker than a meal eater then bag south beach. they are all gimmick diets anyway. eat 6 snacks a day..every 2 1/2 to 3 hr apart. 1st – oatmeal and banana 2nd – apple/cheese/ whole grain crackers 3rd- yogurt and fruit 4th- chicken wrap 5th- celery & hummus 6th- popcorn. those are just examples but if you plan properly you can get a good mix of carbs and protein. Just make sure MAKE SURE you measure out portions. 1 extra tablespoon of hummus or double the crackers in a serving will kill your efforts.
