What are the best foods to eat to lose weight?

I am very unhappy with my weight right now, but I don’t want to try any “overnight” weight loss diets, because you put the weight back on so fast. What are some healthy meats, veggies to eat to lose weight? I plan on exercising as well. Also, are there any dairy foods I need to be eating? I have cut out all soda intake and have only been drinking water for a week now.

Vegetables, fruit, fish and lean meats. Stay away from bread, rice and diary products that contain fat and don’t drink beer.
