I went on birth control a year ago because I had a month long period (which my doctor says was the result of a huge weight loss)…i got off of it two months ago and the first month i had a normal cycle but the 2nd month (this month) it’s been a month and a week which my mom (a nurse) said could be the result of a car accident i got in 2 months ago…i would just like to understand more what triggers these long periods and how the body works in regard to this

I know when I got off birth control my periods were irregular for about a year. I’m just now having regular ones. Your body might be in shock cause you got off birth control.
